1) Yesterday, Sang Kancil could not find anything to eat.






2) "I'm sure I'll find something good to eat tomorrow," said Sang Kancil to himself.







3) This looks like a good place to sleep tonight," thought Sang Kancil.






4) Then, Sang Kancil saw many fruit trees o the opposite side of the river the next morning.



5) "Now, I will count all of you," said Sang Kancil to the crocodiles.


Yesterday, today, tonight, then, now, and tomorrow are adverbs of time. Adverbs of time tell us when something took place. 

Examples: 

  • Yesterday, Pravin went to Fraser's Hill.
  • I am going to see the dentist today at 2 p.m.
  • "Let's have vegetable soup for dinner tonight," said Mr. Ramesh. 
  • He did a PowerPoint presentation. Then, he presented it to his classmates.

Complete the sentences with yesterday, tonight, then, tomorrow.
  1.  The siamang is going to sleep on a treetop              .
  2. The squirrel climbed up a big tree.            , it rested on a branch.
  3. "I'm going to dig a burrow              ," said the rat.
  4. Tiger and Rat were happy with the Owl's decision                 .
