There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house. The March Hare and the Hatter were at tea, a dormouse sat between them, but it seemed to have gone to sleep.
The table was a long one, but the tree were all crowded together at one corner of it: "No room! No room!" they cried out as soon as they saw Alice coming. "There's a plenty of room," said Alice and sat down in a large arm-chair at one end of the table.
